Kebnekaise

Ski resorts in Sweden
Sweden's highest mountain (at the time of writing spring 2017 Sydtoppen... The North Peak attracts thousands of outdoor enthusiasts every year during the summer, but a paradise also awaits here in the winter. However, Kebnekaise is not like regular ski resorts, on the contrary, there is a lack of both lifts and regular ski slopes. But for those of you who are looking for a real off-piste adventure, you should probably be satisfied here. Of course, the lack of lifts means that skins are in order.
Since Kebnekaise is a really high mountain, this is no ordinary ski resort. It is therefore important to constantly check what the weather conditions look like as they often drop towards minus 30 degrees. There are no staff on the slopes or warm cabins, the last meeting with workers will be at the mountain station. But for those of you who have a lot of experience of high alpine terrain and who would like to tick off yet another cool destination, Kebnekaise will probably be what you are looking for. Good luck!
