A trim profile 20L & 30L avalanche airbag capable of multiple deployments within the same backcountry excursion. The heart of the Voltair airbag system is a 22.2v Lithium polymer rechargeable battery that powers an advanced engineered centrifugal blower for rapid, multiple inflations.
In high consequence situations, you do not rise to the occasion; you fall back on your training. Unlike traditional compressed air cylinder airbag systems that are limited to one deployment per charged cylinder, the Arc’teryx Voltair system allows the user to deploy the airbag multiple times.
Along with regular testing of the system, the Voltair’s multiple deployment advantage allows backcountry skiers or riders to practice deploying the airbag and better train themselves on how to react and deploy the Voltair during an avalanche as well as removing the point of hesitation that could cost lives.
