SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser

The SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental is one of Austria's largest contiguous ski areas, with 170.9 miles of slopes and 81 lifts. The system connects several villages in the area, including Ellmau, Going, Scheffau, Söll, Brixen im Thale, Westendorf, Hopfgarten and Itter, so you can start at many different places and still ski around the same ski area.

The terrain is perfect for those who like piste and long days with many vertical dropsmeter, with a lot of blue and red skiing and a setup that makes it easy to just continue on to the next mountain. The highest altitude is 1,2851 feet and the base is around 2034.1 feet, so it is not a high mountain system, which is noticeable during milder periods. Therefore, snow production plays a big role in keeping the slopes in shape throughout the season.

One thing that stands out is the night skiing in Söll, which is considered Austria's largest night skiing area with around 6.2 miles of illuminated slopes. Add to that many cabins, good logistics and large interconnected areas, and the SkiWelt is a real "nut-and-wash" destination for piste skiers who want maximum skiing on one and the same trip.
