Float 32 is a very good all-round backpack that is just the right size for most mountain trips, while at the same time being compact enough for lift-based skiing. The avalanche backpack extends slightly from the back and has good adjustment options on the strap.
The backpack has a specific space for avalanche probe and shovel, so it is easy to access them when needed. Smart solutions such as brackets for ice ax, compartment with zipper on the hip belt and helmet cover.
Float 32 is made of very strong and robust materials. The buckle on the hip belt is made of metal and can withstand severe stress. The shutter release button can be placed on both the right and left sides.
The balloon system is powered by an air-filled cartridge that inflates the avalanche balloon (supplied). When you pull the slider that is integrated in the shoulder strap, the 150-liter avalanche balloon fills in a few seconds. The person caught in the avalanche then has a lower mass density, and thus greater "lifting capacity" in the snow. The visibility of the balloon also makes it easier and faster to search for the victim.
The float system is based on compressed air and can be refilled after the balloon has released.
