The Jökull 18L is made from 400D Retina® material giving it high durability. It has a large U-shaped opening that provides easy access to your gear even when the hip belt is still attached by simply unstrapping the shoulder straps and turning the backpack to the front. It features a close-to-body carrying system that follows your movements, with ventilating mesh on the shoulder straps and hip belt, several pockets including one for avalanche gear, and webbings for attaching skis or splitboard.
