Information We began making splitboards for women starting in 2002 as we developed smaller sizes for the Backcountry Splitboard. Key features included a narrower waist, additional sidecut and a slightly softer flex pattern to accommodate women’s physiques. During winter 2010/11 we went one step further and gave this style its own name and correctly identified it as the world’s first female specific splitboard. The 2012/13 Brandywine Splitboard is entrenched as a staple in the Prior splitboard lineup and won the Backcountry Magazine award for outstanding splitboard performance in 2011/12 and is unchanged going in to this season. It’s designed to provide a smooth, fast ride in the complete gamut of winter conditions and allows women to access and rip up the backcountry like never before. It’s the ideal board for female directional freeriders who are looking for confident variable snow performance. From big mountain shredders to progressing backcountry explorers this is a great option. XTC Carbon Construction is available as an upgrade to all Prior splitboards and saves an average of 600 grams (1lb 5oz) off a Prior splitboard pressed with our standard quadraxial fiberglass. Profile: Hybrid Rocker Provides floatation and predictability in powder and silky smooth transitions from edge-to-edge with excellent edge control. 2-4 mm of traditional camber underfoot provides energy from turn-to-turn. Rider Type: Self propelled female backcountry freeriders, guides and explorers who want to shred untracked powder. Best For: All-mountain backcountry riding, speed, trees, powder, crud, trails and airs
