| Information | Big Mountain Touring says a lot about Völkl's ultralight Touring fatings. The BMT models look similar to the V-Werks Katana at first glance, but the BMT has even lower curb weight, even lower swing weight thanks to its ultra-thin 3D.Ridge profile combined with lighter, lower-density woods that also have air channels milled into them. One difference to the Katan V-Werks is the side cut, where the BMT must be more easy to slide and more forgiving for the target group who often have softer and less powerful touring boots but still intend to ride the same challenging route down the mountain – Völkl has chosen a tapered shape – i.e. the side cut goes not all the way forward or behind but has slightly parallel edges at the front and back. Awesome. |
