Information You could say that the term "all-mountain" was coined for DEACON. Long, medium or short turns, cruising around or pushing your skiing to the limit, soft slopes or hard - if you are ambitious in terms of performance, look no further. Suitable for those who want to switch between hard, cutting, super clean turns and fast, sporty, comfortable carving. Long cutting turns all over the hill are pure pleasure with the Deacon 76. The Deacon 76 Black has been redesigned from the ground up. New geometry, with wider top and shorter tip and tail rocker to get more performance in several different types of turns. This year the Deacon 76 also comes with Tailored Carbon Tips. This means that carbon fibers are applied with Völkl's exclusive TFP process (Tailored Fiber Placement), which enables our engineers to influence the ski's behavior with great accuracy. The strength and location of the fibers define the force you need to apply and the energy that builds up where it counts. This means that as soon as you initiate a turn, the ski begins to steer in a measured and controlled manner, depending on how much you edge. This construction also means less weight without loss of stability. Last but not least, TFP enables our designers to tailor each length to each target group's requirements. The entire Deacon range is manufactured with 3D. Glass front and back, with our famous multilayer wood core with a mix of poplar and beech. Two full layers of Titanal give the ski its familiar power. The new R-Motion 3 GW binding with a shortened plate combined with a wider hole pattern provides a stronger, more direct power transfer and helps you change edges faster. The real highlight, however, is that the two rear screws are no longer fixed, allowing the binding to slide freely. The ski can thus move more harmoniously throughout the turn without being blocked by the binding. Overall, it takes noticeably less power to ride the Deacon 76 Black.
