| Information | The Fusion 105 Carbon is a lightweight freeride ski, based on the same shape as the popular Fusion 105. It caters to the big mountain skier that happily tours to their runs and demands a lightweight ski that doesn’t skimp on the downhill characteristics. The finely tuned waist width of 105 mm makes the ski float effortlessly in powder while still holding a confident edge on harder snow. We have chosen to maximize the edge grip and dampening relative to the weight to create a ski that’s as versatile as possible, but with the downhill characteristics in focus. This makes the Fusion 105 Carbon a good choice for those looking for a lightweight and playful all mountain ski for resort skiing. The heart of the advanced construction is a wood core made from snappy poplar and lightweight paulownia, reinforced with two layers of carbon stringers. A tip insert made from the ultralight space technology material Tubecomb minimizes the swing weight, while the tail features an ABS tail protector with an integrated tab to hold your climbing skins securely in place. If you plan on doing a lot of touring, we recommend mounting a lightweight tech binding to keep the overall weight down, and to maximize the uphill efficiency. If resort skiing is your jam, the Fusion 105 Carbon mates perfectly with a hybrid binding such as the Salomon Shift to get better energy transfer and a safer release function. The Fusion 105 is the freerider’s touring ski and is up for anything. |
