| Information | The uncrowned king of recent years among modern wide piste skis, the RTM series, has now been replaced by a new generation - "DEACON 84 LOWRIDE". What used to make old RTM so hugely appreciated was its versatility - fresh piste, run-up, artificial snow, icy, spring slush and loose snow did not matter! Brand new DEACON 84 has, in addition to all the previous innovations such as Völkl´s unique "3D.Ridge" construction (which gives less vibration and at the same time maximum edge grip) now also "Titanal Frame" which gives even more of these properties without the skis too difficult to drive. Völkl is now launching a completely new side-cutting profile "3 Radius Sidecut", which opens up for an even broader experience for an even larger target group: the ski is divided into three sections, with a long and safe radius in the front while a short radius is under the foot and ends with a medium radius at the rear end. Put together this new cutting profile with Völkl`s unique rocker form "XTD Tip- & Tail rocker" (a short span under the foot) and you have much more fun on the new DEACON 84 Lowride at lower speeds with low edge angles while the longer radii in the front and the back calms down the ski when you go really fast. So: short and fun radius when you need it - long and stable radius when you want it! In addition, there are also the unique Marker iPT LowRide XL bindings for DEACON 80/84 with 10mm lower standing height than previous iPT Wideride, which gives a quicker edge-to-edge behavior. All skiers with a little ambition should have a pair - new DEACON 84 with "Titanal Frame", "XTD Tip-Tail Rocker", P-Tex 4504 coating, "3D-Glass", "3D Ridge" ... gets a little harder and more stable than little brother DEACON 80, and suitable for those who either weigh more, have trained barefoot or simply ride with maximum power and precision. The top model for the 19/20 season is called DEACON 84 Lowride and is thus maximally Völkl-tuned and more entertaining than its predecessor RTM 86. |
