| Information | The Project 83 is our take on a groomer ski, created for the fun in and the feeling of making perfect carving turns no matter the snow conditions. Icy pre-season slopes, spring slush, fresh morning corduroy or chopped up snow after lunch – the Project 83 can handle it all. It’s a ski shaped for the kind of groomer skiing we like ourselves, and often encounter here in northern Scandinavia. Conditions that call for a ski that you can trust skiing from bell to bell, without compromises. The Project 83 is based on our successful Project 90 and 100 models, but in a narrower version. This is a modern on-piste ski borrowing traits from an all mountain ski with a slight rocker in both the tip and tail. This gives it a playful character and the possibility to alternate between carving and skidding turns depending on the conditions or the terrain. The base of the construction is a wood core made from snappy poplar wood and stable, dampened, beech. The outstanding edge grip and the torsional rigidity come from two full-width layers of Titanal. Race rubber dampening in the tip and tail minimizes vibrations. The Project 83 is a ski that holds its own from skiing from first to last chair, and just begs for more. |
