| Information | The Blaze 114 is as wide as its range of use and is manufactured in an environmentally friendly way. Völkl uses recycled base and only FSC-certified wood in combination with the new Green Core technology. Isocore in the wooden core is made from recycled PET bottles instead of the conventional PU foam. Designed for off-piste adventures thanks to its efficient weight-to-performance ratio, the Blaze 114 is also well suited as a freeride touring ski. But it's really on the downhill that it really comes alive. With a relatively narrow 18m radius in relation to the ski's length of 192cm, it delivers a maneuverability previously unknown in this category. This is also supported by an open radius both at the tip and at the rear along with tip & tail rocker. To enable smooth riding at high speeds, a 0.3 mm thin titanal plate has been added under the foot, the plate is reserved for extra stiffness. This means that the ski can be steered with great precision - something that is noticeable at every turn. To keep the all-mountain skis as flexible as possible, no titanal is used in the outer areas front and back. The Blaze is adapted with different flex in relation to ski length, so that larger or heavier skiers can benefit from the same handling characteristics as smaller or lighter skiers with shorter ski lengths. |
