| Information | The Wootest was conceived last year in a very special way via internet forum chatter. Essentially Praxis was approached with an idea, heavily supported by backcountry skiers, who wanted a ski that stayed light for man-powered ascents yet slayed powder on the way down. It was decided that our popular Protest model had the right design but that a slimmer version would be ideal for what those supporters had in mind. The entire build, from concept to finish, was an incredible experience all around. Praxis has always prided itself on its loyalty to its internet-based support and this was our chance to say thank you. Basically, the Wootest was a community-supported and community-built ski that Praxis was very proud to build. For 2013, with advice and improvement ideas from the same community that first thought up the ski, the Wootest will employ only slight improvements, mostly concerning the amount of tail splay on the boards, and slight modifications to the contact points of the sidecut. Read the final review from guys that really know what they are talking about HERE. And for more info on the history, feedback and the evolution on this design check out the chatter on the TGR forum |
