Manufacturers description
The new ST Rotation 7 is a TÜV certified ski touring binding for lighter skiers or young people. It has a rotating toe part for the highest possible elasticity and safety. This is a sophisticated further development of Radical 2.0 ST with the new integrated function "Hub Centering". The rotating toe part is a Dynafit unique and patented safety function to avoid unwanted release in the front part of the binding. The ability to rotate handles stresses and blows from the side and thus ensures that the pins retain their centered position in the "inserts" on the boot. In combination with the ability to rotate and the lateral release on the rear part, the undoubtedly best combined elasticity in the binding world is obtained. This not only increases safety significantly as the rider can avoid locking the toe part during tougher riding or in exposed situations, but also the performance is improved.
The "Hub centering" function helps to center the toe part in distinct steps for easier entry ability.
The rear part has an adjustable "release value" from 2.5 to 7 sideways and is adjustable lengthwise up to 25 mm. ST Rotation 7 is offered with three different ski top widths, 82, 92 and 100 mm.
With the rear in touring mode, ski stops are held up automatically and the heel lift function offers three different heights. The low standing height provides good contact between the boot, binding and ski. 16 mm in the toe part and 29 mm in the rear part gives a positive "ramp angle" of 13 mm.
The low weight of 613 gr in combination with high safety and performance offers those looking for a lighter alternative to frame bindings an excellent binding for ski touring.
