Opinion 118 is also the world's first community-developed ski, created with the help of hundreds of dedicated skiers in a forum thread with 1,900 posts, over 1,000,000 visits and a year of development process. For this, the model was awarded the international and prestigious ISPO Gold Award 2014/15.
For this winter, we have further developed the construction itself by making it 15% lighter, more playful and then also renamed it Second Opinion. The ski is very all-round for being such a wide ski, but performs absolutely best in powder, run-up powder or slush. A ski for your trip to Japan or the best days of winter.
Second Opinion 118 is made as easy as you can make a ski without using carbon fiber (1950 g at 187 cm). The core consists of a mixed wood core of resilient poplar and light paulownia. In tip and tail, we use the ultralight honeycomb material Tubecomb to minimize the swing weight of the skis. The harmoniously smooth indented cut, together with the long and low rocker in tip and tail, really gives a fantastic flow and an incredibly easy-to-ride feeling in soft snow.
