Opinion 118 is also the world's first community-developed ski, created with the help of hundreds of dedicated skiers in a forum thread with 1,900 posts, over 1,000,000 visits and a year of development process. For this, the model was awarded the international and prestigious ISPO Gold Award 2014/15.
The model was renamed Second Opinion after a further development of the construction which became 15% lighter and gave a more playful character. The ski is very all-round for being such a wide ski, but performs absolutely best in powder, run-up powder or slush. A ski for the best days of winter.
Second Opinion 118 is an ultralight fiberglass ski (2000 g at 187 cm) made with a wooden core of resilient poplar and light paulownia. In tip and tail, we use the ultralight honeycomb material Tubecomb to minimize the swing weight of the skis. The harmoniously smooth indented cut, together with the long and low rocker in tip and tail, really gives a fantastic flow and an incredibly easy-to-ride feeling in soft snow.
