Fischer Nightstick 97

The Men's Nightstick 97 from Fischer is a park and freestyle-oriented all-mountain ski for advanced to expert skiers who want to push hard on big jumps, long rails and on piste. The construction is a full sandwich with sidewalls and a lightweight Air Tec core in poplar, reinforced with titanal for high stability and durability during repeated landings and high-speed skiing. Fiber Tech, a directional fiberglass reinforcement, helps the ski bend evenly and provides clear response through the turn.

Freeski Rocker with a shorter effective edge makes the ski easy to get into turns and requires less force to steer, while the 97 mm wide waist provides enough support for both park skiing and more all-round oriented skiing all over the mountain. The dimensions are 132 mm at the tip, 96–97 mm underfoot and 122 mm in the tail with a turning radius of about 17 meters, which provides a combination of stability and agility for both bigger lines and more technical skiing.

The base is a hard, molded type with very good wax absorption and long life, adapted for frequent and tough use. The edge angles are set at 3° on the side and 1.2° towards the base to provide good grip on hard piste while the ski still releases in a controlled manner when you want. The weight is around 1870 grams per ski, which gives a robust feel underfoot without being bulky. The Nightstick 97 is built for skiers who really push their equipment in the park and other freeskiing.
