Manufacturers description
RTM 84 is dead! The legend is from the season 19/20 replaced by a new generation of all condition skis - "DEACON 80 LOWRIDE". What used to make the old RTM 84 so hugely appreciated was its versatility - fresh piste, run-up, artificial snow, icy, spring slush and loose snow did not matter! Brand new DEACON 80 has, in addition to all the popular innovations such as Völkl´s unique "3D.Ridge" construction (which gives less vibration and at the same time maximum edge grip) now also "Glass Frame" in combination with a metal bearing which gives even more of these coveted properties without the skis becoming too difficult to ride. A completely new side-cutting profile "3 Radius Sidecut" now opens up for an even broader experience for an even larger target group: the ski is divided into three sections, with a long and safe radius in front, while a very short radius is under the foot and ends with a medium radius at the rear end. Put together this new cutting profile with Völkl`s unique rocker form "XTD Tip- & Tail rocker" (a short span under the foot) and you have even more fun on the new DEACON 80 Lowride, at lower speeds with low edge angles while the longer radii in the front and the back calms down the ski when you go really fast. So: short and fun radius when you need it - long and stable radius when you need it! In addition, the unique Marker iPT LowRide XL bindings for DEACON 80 and DEACON 84 with a full 10mm lower standing height for a quicker edge-to-edge behavior. All skiers with ambition should have a pair - DEACON 80 is slightly softer for skiers who drive at normal speeds, and or previously appreciated RTM 84. Big brother DEACON 84 Lowride is very similar in most points but with a slightly harder torsional rigidity and bending flex.
