A model from German Völkl in sandwich construction with metal and double layers of wood in the core guarantees a really speed-stable and safe piste ski. The modern FLAIR 78 of course has a tip-rocker to simplify the start in each turn and the widest possible binding attachment 4Motion XL guarantees maximum power transmission in each turn. FLAIR 78 has slightly wider dimensions to handle run-up slopes and easier off-piste, so it is often included in the so-called All Mountain category.
