In connection with Völkl's 100th anniversary, the engineers created the V-werks 100, a ski without any compromises in terms of material selection and riding characteristics. The 3D-milled wooden core is made from 100% FSC-certified wood. Both the steel edges and the surface are made from recycled materials, but no compromises have been made in terms of quality or performance. One of its outstanding features is the use of natural, renewable flax fibers, which actually replace carbon. Völkl has developed a system where the flax fibers are placed along the ski's power lines so that they perfectly and sustainably affect the ski's dynamics and the power required, especially in the edge.
