Charlie Slashern sinks deep with the tail in loose snow, but thanks to the massive nose, the board floats really well and helps you keep your nose above the surface without having to mount behind the punch too much.
Charlie Slashern is also made for those who are considering making their own split-board. Thanks to the RFC Sustainable Touring Core, the board has a core with a line of ABS material in the middle. This allows you to saw up the board and still have the same ABS material as around the edges of the board to protect the wood in the core from gaining moisture and from losing strength.
