Dizin
Dizin is the most famous ski resort in Iran. It's not surprising, it's the largest ski resort in the country, and it's very close to the country's capital Tehran. Internationally, Dizin has become so popular as a ski resort that ski travel packages are offered that are priced in Euros.
Most people who travel there from Scandinavia are off-piste skiers, but there are plenty of lifts in the resort and it can measure up to a smaller alpine port in number of slopes and vertical drop. So it's no problem to go here just to go on the piste either. Something that testifies to this is that FIS has approved Dizin as the official organizer of alpine events.
However, if you have your sights set on alpine après-ski, you should look elsewhere. Alcohol consumption is illegal for the country's Muslim inhabitants and classic "nightlife" (with or without alcohol) is conspicuous by its absence.
