Manufacturers description
Introducing the new Kamber & Kresta series. Built to perform in the toughest mountain conditions to ensure maximum levels of durability and safety. Designed with a multitude of technical features and using our 14 years’ experience of designing ski packs, these packs have been cleverly engineered to ensure optimum fit and accessibility. The Kresta is our first ski and snowboard pack with a women’s specific fit, providing an optimum fit for a female body.
With multiple attachment points and carry options, the Kamber and Kresta excel when attaching your skis or snow board to the packs. Rig your skis diagonally or on the side of the pack. Utilise the vertical or horizontal backpanel carry for your board. On longer climbs or tours you’ll also appreciate the rapid deploy, secure & quick-stow helmet carry.
Designed to be at home in the mountains, the compression molded backpanel is built with snow shedding properties. The internal compartments mean you can store your wet and dry gear separately. A hydration reservoir sleeve includes freeze resistant insulated hose routing through to the shoulder harness. There’s also a quick access avalanche safety kit pocket with shovel handle and probe sleeves, so that the user is covered for any eventuality.
Alternatively, if you’re going off-piste and require a pack with ABS® Vario Unit compatibility then the new Kamber ABS will suit this requirement. Alternatively, for high-speed randonee the new Kamber Race is efficiently designed to help push you to the limits and beyond.
Key features you don’t want to miss:
? Multiple ski/snowboard carrying options
? Compression molded backpanel with snow
shedding properties
? Back panel entry (Kamber 42 & 32,
Kresta 30)
? Quick access avalanche safety kit pocket

Strengths:
Smooth, many compartments, lots of storage, helmet and goggles compartments.
Weaknesses:
Long chest strap, no airbag function.
Summary:
I used this backpack more or less every last season. It was used to shopping for food, transporting clothes and of course on the mountain. It had plenty of space for the probe and shovel plus extra shirt, water bottle and other necessities. The backpack has two large compartments. The one with a "valve" down to where you can store wet gadgets without the other in the backpack getting wet. And the other something bigger with a small inner compartment and one bigger where you can defend ex. computer if traveling or water bag because the backpack has an insulated outlet for the hose via the straps. One disadvantage I thought was that the chest strap was slightly long so what was left over flared up in the face if you did not make a twist. Another something negative was that there was no airbag option.
The backpack also has features for bootpacking. On the website it was stated that it is possible to wear several different ways but I thought diagonally worked best. As cream on the mash, the backpack also had a helmet and ski glasses compartment where the helmet and goggles were safely stored on the way to the lift, during the ride or on the after-skin.
In conclusion, I think the backpack is a strong opponent of the classic Ortovox that I also tested. The benefits of the backpack clearly outweigh the drawbacks and I'm suggested it can be used for a family of children who want to get a lot out on the mountain, a pistol or the one who is easily accessible offpiste.
