Volt has everything except compromises. Material Volt is built with an ultra light and ultra stiff carbon fiber shell. The core is made from an EPS layer with additional EPP reinforcements. Safety The outer shell made from carbon fiber gives Volt superior performance in a collision, compared with similar helmets in other materials. The EPS core protects against bumps and blows in a crash, and the EPP reinforcements at the front and back of the helmet offers additional safety to those areas. The MIPS system is mounted closest to the head and gives the brain a crucial damage against rotational damage that occurs in a crash. MIPS absorbs and reduces certain damage in a crash by allowing the head to move 10-15 mm, reducing the energy transferred to the brain.
