Summary:
I first bought this couple of years ago when I wanted an alternative to a 200 weight fleece for backpacking. Seemed like a nice jacket at 300gms mens medium but close fitting and I was too fat for it so had to return. 2 years later I had lost 5kgs , looked online and saw they were selling the last ones at reduced price . I had been hiking with a 40 gms/m Primaloft gold jacket which was great but I wanted a 60 gms/m jacket for a bit more insulation and so ordered one of the last ones. After losing weight the fit is now good and thermally efficient, I can fit a long sleeve base layer underneath and find it warm enough when hiking in near zero temps. The shell fabric has a good level of breathability. The 300 gms weight is suitable for backpacking. I did not want a hood as I always carry a light hat and for bellow freezing at camp I have a light hooded down jacket sized to go over this. Great shame it is now discontinued, if they had marketed it to hikers and backpackers I'm sure it would have sold better.
