Have had this jack for over two seasons and it still works great. The 3/4 length and stretch panels in the back make it smooth and compliant. The hood is big enough to wear a helmet. I can not be more than lyrical, the jacket is completely cold.

Received a Cassin Ridge in the fall of 2000 and has since used it for everything from skiing to climbing and kayaking. Must say it's the best jacket I had. Beats my old Berghaus and Haglöfs LIM (maybe not quite comparable though).

As I see it, the jacket has two big plus, armor fabrics and a perfect suede. The fabric basically tolerates anything, especially what's on your arms. It may be a bit clumsy, but I do not think so. Luvan is huge and holds a climbing helmet with no problems, but can be tensioned so that it follows the movements of the head and even works near the bicycle in town.

By the way, it's mostly okay, it has the quality and freedom of movement you expect from a jacket in this class. In addition, my experience is that Tierra is always crazy if there are any problems.

PS If the jacket leaks, go to the store, you get a new one!

Has a tierra jacket, a Cassin ridge. Have had it for a while, but have not tested it in the rain that I had the opportunity to do today! It does not rain at all! Thus: really good jacket for skiing, really bad jacket for summer sports (= rain)
