Bought a Thias this year in France when I found out that they had gone bankrupt and that it would probably be difficult to get hold of.

This was the board I started to go on a few years ago, but then I only had a renting board. Later I bought a Lacroix, so that's the one I have to compare to really after i went on it for a couple of seasons.

The Thias P178 Freeride is definitely softer than my Lacroix, but what I felt the biggest difference with at the beginning was the stance that differs slightly from Thia's other models. Here you can mount the bindings different for regular or goofy as there are two parallel brackets on each side of Skwalen. Do not know what difference this makes, but as soon as you get used to it, it did not feel so different. As usual with Skwal, the grip is optimal and comparing to the Alpine board, you have a completely different control in your laydowns - especially the heelside.

P178 should be more advantageous in pillows, it is said, but I have not had a direct reason to test than I'm still difficult to carve hard in the manchestra with it.

Could I choose the will Skwal I would probably rather bet at 183 ° F / 173 ° F - it's not directly an all-round model you're looking for.
