Rottefella Snow Shovel

Strengths:
+ Strong; The blade is of a fairly thick aluminum sheet. It is arched with folded side edges, and there are pressed grooves in it, all because it does not wrap when breaking pieces of hard snow. The shaft is a piece of wood which is uncomplicated and robust.
+ Cheap
+ Good to hard packed snow

Weaknesses:
-The shank is the longest layer when stored in / on the gasket. Depends on which rucksack one has.
-The shank is the shortest layer when using it to dig.
-The sheet is small. Not so effective when shooting more amounts of light snow.
-Not particularly good looking.
- Maybe heavier than some other spades.

Summary:
Spade whose design seems like it's made for digging your buried comrades out of avalanches with it or in other contexts when you want to dig in hard snow. Got a tip from a multisporter about getting such a spade. He meant that this one is stronger than most other spades that you can bring in your backpack. I have only had another earlier, from stage. I only use it to shoot the balcony with now (it should not be sold as a tour equipment).

Strengths:
Very stable, easy to dig in tougher snow with

Weaknesses:
The arched spade blade, the wooden shaft, can swell if it becomes wet, making it difficult to disassemble.

Summary:
A spade I'm really pleased with, it's stuck with and does not break. In particular, the part between the shaft and the blade is well reinforced. Unfortunately, the blade is arched (instead of plant), making it difficult to dig good snow profiles.
