ATK Raider 12
Brand: ATKModel year: 2024
Weight: 335 gram
Manufacturers description
ATK’s free touring jewel. Designed for all enthusiasts for whom weight is certainly an important factor but who are not willing to compromise in terms of performance.
The new “R12” family shows 4 different productive Technologies and 6 ATK® Patents, among which the new Snow Pack Proof System® which avoids the snow, ice or debris entrance under the toe piece locking mechanism.
The huge know-how that ATK® developed on the racing field has also made it possible to achieve a weight of only 330 grams, including the new rear ski brake which provides a great braking action with an astonishing ease of use and lightness.
A new fully-adjustable Freeride Spacer is available as an accessory and it definitely closes the gap in between Free Touring and Free Ride categories and moves precision and power transmission to a racing Alpine binding level.

Strengths:
Light, works for what they are intended for.
Weaknesses:
Needs to be screwed up so as not to loosen on the piste, I had to set my DIN slightly higher than my Shifts, no further shock absorption on the piste, but they are not meant to be used there either.
Summary:
My first tech bids, very solidly built, work great to go up with and have no problems downhill, have ridden quite a lot both off piste and icy piste, took a while to dare to trust them as the feeling is different but there have been no problems .
Completed with Freeride inserts for the heel.
