The successor to the popular Lupo AX 120. Still 3-part construction, Dalbello's signature, with the progressive and compliant flex and the large walking position. Bi-injected tongue with a mix between softer and harder plastic means that the tongue does not need to be removed and handling becomes easier between ride and walk mode. Both the flex and the forward inclination (12°-14°) can be adjusted by changing wedges at the back of the boot. Dynalink aligned to the pivot point ensures heel grip. Strengths:
Sits perfectly on my foot without bootfitting and gives exactly the performance I am looking for in the boots. Extra plus for the new powerstrap solution where you do not have to pull off the entire strap but just "snap" out.
Weaknesses:
The small "toe plate" that sits over the screw that holds the tongue came off. But the Swedish general agent sent a new one on the spot. Fantastic customer service! Maybe not optimal to top tour with, but it works with a little extra sweat as compensation.
Summary:
Very good boot, better than the previous Lupo model. The fork mode works great. Very comfortable to go full speed in, both on and off the slopes.
