- Weight: 1380 grams
Grilamid® is a light, very durable material with high impact resistance, resistant to fatigue and cracks with long-term resistance to degradation by UV light. Combined with fiberglass, it gets higher torsional rigidity and longevity.
The innovative Speednose has a shorter toe box with a pivot point 4 mm closer to the tip of the toe compared to a traditional boot, which increases efficiency during ski touring and peak touring. The shorter toe box provides reduced weight, a shorter sole and maximum rotational movement.
The Hoji Lock System is a solid locking system that stabilizes the cuff against the chassis and provides a lock without backlash. With the One Move To Switch function, the cables to the boot's strap and top buckle are locked with one and the same grip.

Strengths:
User-friendly and smooth switching between walking and riding mode, fits my feet "out of the box", low weight, comfortable ride, range of motion in walking mode, riding position
Weaknesses:
Would have liked to see a traditional buckle (preferably wire like for example on the Technica Zero G Pro Tour) over the ankle compared to the snowboard buckle that they have now used now, as the snowboard buckle is easier to freeze again. A more traditional buckle would also have allowed for better fine-tuning. Also a little annoying as the front buckle "fine adjustment" spins very easily, which means that you often need to readjust it when it has accidentally changed its position, which it easily does when you take off and put on the boots.
The walking position is very good, but on the wish list is a slightly better ROM (range of motion) backwards to be able to take even longer steps and thereby save energy. Also on the wish list is that the upper "strap" that stabilizes the cuff had been of the same construction as the Hoji Free, now it is a velcro solution. A strap with a buckle would actually have been preferable.
Summary:
A solid boot that is well made and well tested. Really like the Hoji lock system. Really nice riding feeling and perfect riding position. It's also good that Dynafit has not continued with speednose, which makes it easier if you need to use crampons. Also points out that if you have tried the Hoji Free and think it does not fit the foot (perceived by many as "over the ankle"), it will probably work with the Radical Pro as it is designed differently.
