Strengths:
The TLT 8 Carbonio is perfect in my eyes. The TLT 7, which was already a really good boot, has become even better. Have previously ridden the TLT 7 Performance and felt that it was a little too soft for my 90 kg, the TLT 8 Carbinio, which has a harder and more progressive flex, can easily drive a fairly powerful setup and has made downhill runs significantly more fun. Improved buckles and no more wire that can freeze.
Weaknesses:
I think the inner shoe is worse compared to the TLT 7 (CR), somewhat thinner, worse heel grip and in the same size as my TLT 7, it feels bigger. Have therefore replaced the inner shoe with a pair of new liners for the TLT 7 (CR) which have a different design.
Update 230131: Got a couple of new liners for the season, then only got TLT 8 (CR) and it didn't work at all. Too bad grip around the foot and feel like I don't get the control I want. Have now switched back to my old liners TLT 7 (CR) and will have to look further and see if I can get hold of a couple of new ones.
Summary:
Perfect boot if you want good uphill properties without sacrificing downhill properties. Extremely easy to use and it is quick and easy to switch between walking mode/riding mode. Day trips of 30 km and 1500 meters of altitude are commonplace and never a tendency to chafing. Uses the boots on two different pairs of skis (76 mm and 94 mm waist) and with light Dynafit bindings.

Strengths:
Progressive and good flex, there is a huge difference to TLT 7 that I have driven before, here it really is possible to press! Extremely user friendly with good buckles and easy transition from gait mode to ride mode. The gait position is incredibly good for such a lightweight ski boot with the ability to push down. Fits my wide feet just fine without a lot of boot fitting of the shell. Have run Scarpa, Dalbello and TLT 7 before and all these have required quite a lot of work on the shell
Weaknesses:
Inner shoe, inner shoe and inner shoe. Do not understand why Dynafit does not have several models to choose from for Carbonion. The thin inner shoe that comes with is a real shinbreaker and totally useless to me. I myself have stopped in the thicker version available for the regular TLT 8 boot, it was a perfect set-up, good heat and thick enough to press! I know others who run Intuition "low volume" instead and are happy with it.
Summary:
An extremely riding boot for those who want light weight and good gait position without sacrificing the performance characteristics.
