Strengths:
Good versatile boot. 10 years and no sign of plastic deterioration.
Weaknesses:
Toe/heel plate replacement nowhere to be found. Lange rep emailed that it’s discontinued and no parts either.
Summary:
I would buy it again, way better than some of the cheaply made boots these days for the price.
Model year: 2007

Strengths:
Good overall boot. High quality buckles and solid crafstmanship throughout (power strap doesn't tear away from fastener like on other boots I've had). Excellent control and power transfer. Soft and flexible plastic easy to mold for comfort and get boot on and off.
Weaknesses:
Liner is comfy at first, but doesn't pack out well and remains unmolded, uncomfortable after about 30 minutes of use. Boot has a ton of pressure points for my feet--more than any boot I've worn. Is supposedly designed for medium to high instep but feels uncomfortable there, too. Soft plastic gets very stiff in the cold, seems almost brittle--I'm afraid I'm going to crack it at the flex point. Boot doesn't seem well insulated, feet get cold quickly.
Summary:
Overall, this might be the highest quality boot I've owned. It's a bit on the soft side, especially before the plastic gets cold and stiffens up a bit, but has fantastic control in spite of that fact. If the liners would ever pack out and conform to my feet, I'd have a real winner. As it is, it's almost unbearable after about half a day skiing. I do have wide feet and a high instep, but it's kind of ridiculous how long the liners take to pack out. With a bit more time in it, I hope to resolve the comfort issue, and once that happens, I'd rate it a solid 4.5. As it is, I'd say it's somewhere between a 3 and a 4; better than "ok" but not quite "awesome."
