Strengths:
Comfortable and with walk mode easier getting around resort
Weaknesses:
After just 2 uses the iner liner was damaged by friction against the outer shell which was very disappointing.
Moving on to tougher terrain I found that if I became unbalanced my foot seemed to slip in the boot, which was either from the footboard moving or the liner slipping within the boot. Looking closely at the footboard, which is made of an odd foam material it shows signs of wear and bits breaking off, not good!
Summary:
Boots seemed pretty good to start with, then it all started to go wrong. The retailer has been excellent and agreed to refund me, but I'm very disappointed having used Salomon boots for the last 20+ years.
