Manufacturers description
Salomon's SHIFT PRO 100 AT is designed for skiers who want to easily switch areas of use. The boot has the stability required for downhill skiing and the flexibility required for going uphill. It works like a true alpine boot while having the same range of motion and comfort as a touring ski boot. It has never been easier!

Strengths:
Stylish and stable boots, fit well both on and off the piste. The walkmode function is unexpectedly good, good grip on the ground when trudging around.
Weaknesses:
Broke after 1 day of use. The "tongue" on the inner boot tore off when I put the boot on. Even the material at the toe and heel on the outside wears down very quickly.
Summary:
I have had the same Salomon boots for 14 years and they have always held up, but these boots feel like a Monday copy, the construction feels a bit flimsy and the material wears quickly on the outside of the boot especially the points that come in contact with the binding. After 1 day in Romme Alpin, the wear and tear was as great as if I had been in the Alps for 4-5 weeks. An insole should, in my opinion, hold to put on the boot, which these did not... The tongue seems to be only attached with a thin little thread. Having said that, they are made to break on a fine morning before heading out on the slopes.
