Arcteryx Sabre Pant
Brand: ArcteryxModel year: 2017
Manufacturers description
Designed for big mountain freeride and skiing, the Sabre Pant is waterproof, breathable, hardwearing and combines a relaxed fit with clean lines. Storm protection and warmth come from the N80p-X GORE-TEX® 3L fabric with 3L lo-loft soft shell construction. The material’s brushed liner provides light insulation and a flannel like feel.
Features are selected specifically for the snow, and optimized to handle the transition from groomed run to backcountry descent. Ultra durable 100D laminated Cordura® PowderCuffs™ seal out snow and fit under snowboard highbacks, and colour matched Keprotec™ instep patches prevent abrasion and ski cuts. Large cargo pockets with internal volume channel cargo away from impact zones, and double side zips can open wide for rapid ventilation on ascents and traverses. Integrated Slide’n Loc™ attachments link with the Sidewinder SV, Sabre and other compatible jackets, creating a unified clothing system that helps seal out driven snow.

Strengths:
- Good snowballs
- Good integrated belt
- Bastanta reinforcements on the inside
- Deep leg pockets
- Appropriate ventilation
Weaknesses:
- Relaxed fit = baggy, so if you look for something tight you should look further (maybe not worth a minus but ...)
- Not Gore Tex Pro, definitive difference when it comes to breathing on my Sidewinder jacket, weighed up with good ventilation
- Missing braces
Summary:
Bought these to have a pants that fits with my Arcteryx Sidewinder jacket (paired together). The pants are very functional. I have put braces on them for the sake of comfort, so you might have wanted integrated hinges from the factory, but there are BIBs if you want it instead. These pants are baggy, and I mean really baggy.
Had I wished free, I would have liked to be a Gore Tex Pro.
They are quite large in size so try the best before you buy.
