Strengths:
-The perfect backcountry winter ski, great for balancing out inconsistent snow quality(suncrust, etc)
-Lack of Weight (lighter than my friends' newer skis of similar dimension (Karhu PFD, K2 hippy stinx, etc)
-Low cost because they are older.

Weaknesses:
-The annoying Whoa reaction in the morning of those friends who have not yet seen them
-Sastrugii traverses, or traverses on firm snow (ski width adds some torque on your boots)
-not versatile ski, great for yielding snow only, little sidecut and wide waist don't like hard snow.

Summary:
I bought these skis about 10cm short for Weak Colorado snowpack winters, where the safe and fluffy routes are often only found in the trees. Since I got these skis, I have been airborne more often and for longer periods of time, probably just a function of the waist increase from 88mm to 115mm. I love these boards because they are comparable in weight to my Vokl T-rocks, but much wider. I did open them up in superhero snow a little last weekend and they worked fine. They don't make em like they used to. Atomic still makes a lightweight ski, but the newer super wide skis have more shape and are not so much lightweight (thugs, freesking boards, etc)
