Close to the 152 B5 reviewed below

Weaknesses:
Extra 10 cm is not as quick turning

Summary:
Summary:
Skier Height: 5'-7"
Skier Weight: 140 lbs
Skier Ability: Instructor
Ski length Tested: 162

Ski Review: Date today is Feb 17/18. Just bought a pair of used white with black 162 B5is off CL today for $100. Tuned the base and side edges then P-texed a little divot then waxed them. Straight away took them up the mountain for a quick spin. Surprisingly the 162s weigh close to the orange 152 B5s even though 10 cm longer. Flex is softer in the longer tail. Up by the tip the flex is maybe just a hair softer. Overall the 162s feel a touch more flexy than the 152s.

The 162 B5is also go anywhere including powder. The extra float helps in powder but you can feel the extra length and extra swing weight. You do have to compensate technique for that. On steeps bumps ice crud wet powder black diamonds anything these 162 skis also dominate most other skis. But the 11m turn radius makes going down narrow chutes and steep bumps a bit more work than the 152s. However that extra 10 cm length should be much better for my son at 190 lbs in deep powder. So would definately get the 162s if heavier and the 172s if over 200 lbs.

The 162 length for me is not optimal when compared to the more maneuverable 152s. Everything just happens a fraction of a second slower. So if the orange 152 B5s were a 9/10 these white with black 162 B5is would be a 8/10 for me. Basically one step down in overall performance. But choose according to your own skill power weight etc. For an all mountain ski -> this B5 twin lobe design with power channel shock absorbers is hard to beat and much more versatile than expected.

Can tackle anything with ease

Weaknesses:
Heavy to carry to and from the slopes

Ski Review: Date today is Feb 3/18. Tried the 162s at Sun Peaks on a demo day and loved them back in 2006 or so. But they only had a pair of 152s new for sale. So bought those. They have the orange tops and orange plastic tip with B5 on the base underside. Still in 2018 still use these skis as a daily driver. Also have the 175 X-Scream Series and 192 Rocker 2s @122 wide underfoot.

The 152 B5s go anywhere including powder. Just keep some speed up with a little weight back and the wide shovels keep you afloat. Comparatively the 162s had much more float for me and felt better balanced in powder. On steeps bumps ice crud wet powder black diamonds anything these short 152 skis dominate most other skis. They are that good. With a tiny 10m turn radius they can go down narrow chutes and steep bumps with ease. But you should note that my son at 190 lbs did have difficulty in deep powder. So would size up accordingly for weight and skier ability and conditions. They cannot solve everything for everybody. There are always pros and cons.

Definitely for carrying to and from the slopes the short 152 B5s are heavier than the massive192 Rocker 2s. But in order to get that level of torsional rigidity and dampening some design weight compromise was necessary. For me the trade-off is well worth it. Once you snap in the bindings you quickly forget the weight of the B5s underfoot anyways. Overall these skis are so good that am actually now trying to buy a couple more pairs off CL. Maybe the red top B5s and the white B5is for a bit of variety if still available.

Really have grown to love the 152 length because it is so maneuverable. But am ok to go for the 162s as well. Definitely would highly recommend for anyone willing to push hard and get the most out of this ski. Is actually a true do it all high performance single quiver ski. Amazing design that Atomic should still manufacture today.

Carves on a rail. Excellent hold on all but bullet proof ice. Great in all turn shapes.

Weaknesses:
HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY....did I mention they were heavy! Not a ton of fun to hike with. They like to be on edge at all time or they get a bit squirlley.

Summary:
Demoed them for 2 days at Whistler in Feb 08 and they were a blast. No new snow but soft stuff off od Spanky's Ladder and in the chutes off McConkeys and they were great. Loved them for making big GS Cadillac turns.

Very lightweight ski, it does what you want. Not for beginners !!! It takes on your legs when you go hard.
Feeling stable and good in turns but in high levels a little nervous.
Hope they keep far after i can not get on any other ski that suits me so well.

Weaknesses:
Importance. If you carry them to the piste, they feel like they were out of the lead. If you touch those in the back, that feeling completely disappears.

Summary:
Perfect carving ski for some more advanced skiers.

Riding style: piste
Length on the ski: 152 cm
Riders weight: 87 kg
Riders length: 178 cm

There is everything in this ski run. Next variant comes well with mobile phone Hihihihi. In piste they go like xxx well (you can sit there which xxx words you want). Unbelievably lightweight. You're going to "turn", so they swing. The turns feel good & stable. When the ski slope at the end of the day begins to be awkward & very brave, most pistachios stop running well in the back then they became almost even better, they loved even more. At higher speeds, I thought they would be a little nervous, but they are stable like a locomotive. In pillows they were incredibly good too, they floated so I dropped the chin in the back (it was only yard). Jumped out of a dash with a couple of feet of fantastic feeling, you were one with the skid.

Weaknesses:
I bought them. I sleep with them. I'm talking to them. They have been named. My wife and my children I think I'm starting to track out. There is a weakness. They are no longer manufactured because they became too expensive to make these layers 9500-10000 span 2009-2010. Heard that they can be ordered specially and are yellow.

Summary:
The ultimate ski of them all. There is only one ski slope. Throw all the other layers. Should be a separate grade 6 for these skis. There are no other skis on the market with these properties. Rid high with skis until I just got these. Say no more. Ski slopes. The king among the skis.

Riding style: Pist 70% Pillows 30%
Length on the ski: 162 cm
Riders weight: 78 kg
Riders length: 185 cm

Took me 10 days to become friends with them. Then lessons have continued for each day, 35 ski days so far. And I could carva before I bought them.

Weaknesses:
Not that they are heavy anyway, then it's the legs it's wrong. Keeps with previous person (XX).

Summary:
Absolutely wonderful swings. More fun skiing is not possible, but they require rough leg strength to drive through the turn of the hill. They force you to become a better turner.

a real all in one slide! Pisten porsche cayenne.

Weaknesses:
can not find any.

Summary:
Absolutely fantastic skiing. Going like the train in the piste, long or short turn it responds to everything just to choose. wears well in the sneeze but requires a bit more speed just. Now you only need a ski run. Never went on something like this unbelievably stable. Totally amazing
