Manufacturers description
The Wailer 112RP is the world’s most versatile ski. It combines the loose and early planing feel of a fully rockered ski with aggressive sidecut and slight camber underfoot. It's a one-ski quiver for surfing powder, laying trenches on groomers, and slaying crud. Maximum versatility is achieved through an 18m variable radius underfoot coupled with phenomenal torsional stiffness, and an even damper alpine feel resulting from our new Pure3 construction. The rockered tapered tip and tail enables the 112RP to get loose and be driven from the ball of the foot in deeper snow. A women’s version is available in the Yvette 112RP.

Strengths:
The ski performs really well in all soft snow. It tunes with ease so is excellent in trees, skiing powder bowls a joy and they even perform well in resort skiing including softish moguls. I skied them for 2 weeks of snowcat skiing and in a resort for a month (Canada). Prior to these skis I skied Phat Luvs K2 and K2 Gotbacks. I am female, 5'4 weigh 115 lbs and used the DPS 168 hybrids. This is their shortest ski. Had there been one size down say a 162 I would have used that, but I am really happy with these skis. They have all the advantages of a shorter ski ie easy turning with the benefit of a longer ski for absorbing terrain and allowing speed on the deep and steeps. A pleasure !
Weaknesses:
None that I can think of for those who wish to ski powder and softer resort snow. Icy European slopes would be something else however. For a lightweight short female a slightly shorter ski with perhaps a centimetre or two shaved off the width and length would be helpful at times.
Summary:
I have no hesitation in recommending this fun and motivating ski. It makes one smile. My binding on the Wailer 112 was set 1 cm forward of the middle setting. ROAM in Nelson, BC, Canada supplied them and have been extremely helpful. Ask for Rob.

Strengths:
Have tested in loose, soft and hard pist approximately 7 days. Works very well in loose nuts. When you see it, you do not think it will work in a piste but it does. Carving, no problem just lying on. Can drive short-range if you can and will. Seems to be very versatile. Been sick for many years. About 25 days a year.
Weaknesses:
Not found any.
Summary:
It keeps what it promises.
Riding style: sHEBANG

Strengths:
Works very well in pistons, cushions, heavier sneezing and moderately raised offpiste.
Weaknesses:
Properly soft so they can flatter some and snake a bit when standing flat on hard surfaces, but edges so they feel stable. Hard-headed offpiste is no paradise. Big puckles are hard but smaller puckles work well. Felt a bit too big for my level when it gets crowded, steep and tricky as it will be the end of many offpiste tracks.
Summary:
Very nice skiing, spent the 2 weeks in the Alps with mixed before pads, slash, crud, puckles and hard pistons. I am a mediocre rider but experienced it as easy-going except when it became steep and crowded and big puckles, as it felt a little big, but it depends more on the technique.
Model year: 2012
Riding style: Average rider in the offpiste and some pistons. No park.

Strengths:
- Extreme light skate
- Rappa
- Just easy
- Stabila in pillows
Weaknesses:
Too soft if there are no deep pillows, which makes them flatter a lot on hard surfaces and feel very unstable to move on quickly.
Summary:
Beautiful skiing that goes cannonbreak in pillows, very playful! Do not place too much weight because they are fluttery on hard surfaces, as that is not what they are for.

Strengths:
Floats well in pillows
Carvar good in the piste
Really playful for the length I've tested!
Weaknesses:
Pretty dull and simple design, good and bad.
Summary:
Have tested this in Whistler's varied terrain now for two weeks so run a small review.
The skis have managed everything from mid-high pillows and afternoon puckles to newlyweds, a really good all-round ski. Have not walked any longer trips or build some real BC hop but the ski has infused all the high expectations.
All I can do is be that it is relatively easy to scratch at the edges, but that's nothing that affects the ride. The short turning radius of 178 cm (16 m) means that I use it all over the mountain, except on the rails in the park possibly ..
