Dynastar 4x4 Outland

Perfect New Yorker skid or to the premier, light skier who does not require that much. Clean piste skiing. Fast from edge to edge. Lættålt. Good to learn sharp edges and edging. But a ski you quickly "grows out" if you go more than three weeks a year. Good alternative to "Svensson" and as a rental car.

You have to be quite talented Helge, who is not allowed to drive in 4x4 loose snow. Do not dream about how you managed it before, when you only had regular skiing. 4x4 is undoubtedly a good ski, maybe not the best in its class, yet it is an excellent ski. For those who wonder, the 2000 models are further improved and beautiful to ride on, both hard and soft. Even driving on X-scream, but this year's 4x4 series can measure with these.

Pretty bad grip on this skiing. It also does not have a good shear compared to Salomon x-screem or Wølkl crosscarver. In loose snow, it is neither bird nor fish, it is too narrow in the middle and gets bad balance: either submarine or on the heel. Best in solid loose snow that is steep. It gives the dynamic response. There is a lot of excitement in skiing and the skier must take care of constantly pushing down the middle part - otherwise skiing goes on its own.

A first impression is the cool graphics of flames on the tips. This impression also reflects the ride as long as it goes quite quickly combined with long to medium turns. Good cut thanks to hourglass shape, which, however, gives an unexpected ice grip. Overall very nice skiing to cruise down with.
