Strengths:
Very lightweight, very user-friendly to be (relatively rigid) FIS SL carvers. Maybe it was needed 3-4, then you could count on them and start pushing more seriously. Calm and nice, nevertheless with the well-known powerful reboot provided by SL carvers. Small radii and larger (... SL-typical) radii, both function. As usual, this is best done on hard surfaces, frozen manchester is best, followed by ice cream or even a balcony.

Weaknesses:
A FIS SL carver has a fairly narrow field of use, but because they are so easy to use, they are doing the right thing!
130315: The plastic tips are jammed at repeated port contact! However, got new from Austria (ProSport) at no cost!

Summary:
Despite relatively hard flex, and compared to other FIS SL carvers that I've had over the years (eg Head, Fischer, Atomic), Elan SLX is unusually easy-going. In small artificial snow cuts (type Kungsberget) they are unbeatable in terms of number of turns and general action! In the slalom, no problem! Because of their short length, they also fit perfectly when laying around with the kids, for example. Sets 4 out of 5 right now.

Riding style: Race-inspired pist with these (otherwise a bit of every ...)
Riders weight: 90 kg
Riders length: 183 cm
