Manufacturers description
The Fusion 95 Carbon Ultra is the lightest ski we’ve ever produced, weighing in at a mere 1 370 g in 179 cm. This is an ultralight touring ski for varied conditions, were we’ve put all effort into keeping the weight as low as possible. The Fusion 95 Carbon Ultra is for the skier who does long tours but still wants a great skiing experience on the way back down.
We’ve combined an ultralight construction with the same trusted shape as the Fusion 95 all mountain ski, including a tapered sidecut and a progressive rocker in the tip and tail. Something that makes for reliable downhill characteristics.
The heart of the advanced construction is a wood core made from snappy poplar and lightweight paulownia, reinforced with two layers of carbon stringers. A tip insert made from the ultralight space technology material Tubecomb minimizes the swing weight, while the tail features an ABS tail protector with an integrated tab to hold your climbing skins securely in place.
Since the Fusion 95 Carbon Ultra is a dedicated touring ski, we recommend mounting it with a lightweight tech binding such as the ATK R12 or Marker Alpinist to keep the total weight down while maximizing the uphill efficiency.

Strengths:
Light, lively, fun skis.
Weaknesses:
Logically, maybe they should be less stable but it was nothing I noticed on the day I drove them.
Summary:
Had to borrow a pair of test skis and went up to the top of the ship in Valborg. Incredibly beautiful both up and down. My feeling is that you do not lose much in stability / damping when you go to Ultran. At least not when you are rel easy. I rode most of the season on the Fusion 105 Carbon.
Model year: 2022
Riding style: summit trip, a few cm half-aged powder and piste.
Length on the ski: 179 cm
Riders weight: 73 kg
Riders length: 174 cm
