Manufacturers description
The Ranger 116 is the widest ski in the Ranger series, of course you expect float,
playfulness and that the ski should feel easy to maneuver. The Ranger 116 delivers with flying colours,
what's really remarkable is that the ski is stiff enough where you need it, so it
solves a multitude of different snow conditions and above all it feels stable when the speed increases.
Ranger 116 is a powder spectacle with a little something extra.

Strengths:
All round. Of the fatties I've tested, it's the one that works best on the piste. Turns properly and does not hesitate to enter a turn.
Intuitive.
Sufficiently forgiving tail to be able to get the skis around when you end up in the back seat.
Weaknesses:
Not super easy to cross.
Summary:
Old skier who skis with tongue pressure, and has had problems with tip dive on more mid-mounted skis. Has also bothered me on some skis where all the load-bearing capacity is in the edge. For me, these are perfectly balanced in loose snow. The short radius is well balanced by the taper front and rear, but the ski is not exactly a marvel of high-speed stability.
Ran them as the only ski during a three-week stay in Hakuba, and despite varying conditions, I didn't regret my choice not to lug two pairs of skis.
Model year: 2023
Riding style: Piste, powder and summit tour.
Length on the ski: 180 cm
Riders weight: 72 kg
Riders length: 168 cm
