Strengths:
This ski is an epic on-piste legend. It absolutely loves speed; the faster you ski this the more responsive it becomes. It is heavy in weight but it works the short turns well especially with the carve plate. I skied this model both on the east coast boilerplate of Southern VT and out west in the Sierra Cement of CA. There is no doubt about it, keep away from powder with this ski. At 67 mm underfoot, you basically sink in anything over a foot of fresh. Take this ski on the groomers and basically tear it up. It is so responsive, so maneuverable, so incredibly fast it will make your head spin.

Weaknesses:
Deep powered and slalom like turns. This ski is at home in the GS turn.

Summary:
I have used this ski for years (since 2004) but I am getting ready to retire it since I've moved out west. When I lived out east, it was my everyday choice regardless of the conditions (even through 2007). I dont think there was a better model out there for those who love speed and the wider turn. When the snow gets packed are hard, this is your go-to choice for pure exhiliration.

A perfectly good ski ride, 184 cm, when my old Völkl SLC was 205 cm. Have tested some different models (Atomic, Fischer) but nothing comes close to Head's range simply.
The Xp 100 & Ic 200 goes on rails in very high turns and turns so you get a tan on your mouth involuntarily, wonderful!
Have gone on 170,177 & 184 170 turns more & 184th stabilizer ..
can only recommend sessa layers hot .....

As already mentioned, they require active rides. Really nice when pushing in the turns. Works in short-range as well.
Have just gone on them for a weekend, but it was a nice acquaintance.

sooo nice skiing ... was in Åre this weekend and it floated on the powder in the red hill so wonderful ... in the piste it was fast and very exciting to go on.
Yes, I drove on the 177 model and yes, I would like to test 184: ...
a cruel skiing at least ...

Cruel skiing! To succeed in building such an all-round ski was due to give some kind of prize! Floats in both short and long turns without feeling unstable or fluttery. Also tested them in the alps and it was surprisingly good even outside the piste. Considering the measurements, I thought it would hurt like a rock, but so wrong I had! However, had a pair of 170 cm long so it became a bit too short sometimes ..

Plus for already boasting. carveplate.
Best allround skiing I went on!

A real cannon ski. Very swivel and extremely stable, you can ride it any time. I have never had such fun with any other ski, so now I do not have to change skis until this is completely finished. The only downside is the weight and the unrest when you go straight down without cutting. Very affordable to me because I bought my after the store manager tried them for two days: $ 5300 with binding!

Though it's a cruel all-round ski. Favors as well in the piste as the outside, the more you squeeze the destomer you get back. Long or short carvin turns do not matter, it's as followable through both kinds of turns. A cannon skid, the best thing I went on in winter.Minus for the price about $ 500 without binding. (costs to be top)

A rough fast skis, three ski days were enough for me to get a really tangible workout. was empty. so fast that the blow of the heels on a mate when he got back in the short-range ....
Should be cut and really hard pressure then it's a huge ski experience. It requires some gym visits before it's going to be really active!
Going really well in long carving turns and actually just as well in short turns. Also worked really well outside the piste and carried up fine on the snow and flattened really well. Also, doing surprisingly well in high traffic, you can only resist the turns, so never flatter it!
The design is really nice, simple and functional with a really good carve plate in the price.
The only downside is that it with rack. binding (Tyrolia FreeFlex 10) from Interski went to about 8300 Skr ... But be a fan, money is just a worthwhile thing ...
Top marks!

A cannon ski. The first real allround ski, fast bite on long sucking turns and still catch short-range! Remaining to see how it works in pillows but because the X80 went well I'm not worried.

Gets fine in big soft turns, but is hard at short range. It's about to be with all the time !!
