Summary:
Have been testing these skis for 12 days so far. Nine days on glacier in Italy in incredibly good conditions and three days on artificial snow in Vemdalen.
First of all, I would like to say that last year I ran many days at Icelantic Nomad RKR. I experienced them as incredibly playful and fun. They really felt like a ski run for Swedish conditions. Now I've had the chance to test these in SKNY (skinny) version. Here's how I experience them.
The first day on these skis was the spotlight and fog. My skiing became more cautious and the ski was tested in shorter turns and not only on clean cut, but also on sledding and steering turns. Feel very light-weighted and they followed my movements perfectly. After that I had many sunny days with nice snow and good visibility. Then I tore them properly.
These skis are in my eyes, perfect for us who travel in Swedish mountains. They are incredibly fine in cutting, in all different sizes of turns. They are fast in turns and kick out gently in the swing. The tip / tail rockers make play playful, they go without problems to do butters with these skis. Twintip makes them an alternative park ski if you do not want symmetrical skis. Experience it much faster than the 19m that the turning radius indicates.
Once again in Sweden, I have tested them on significantly worse snow. They behave surprisingly stably on tougher and uneven surfaces than I had imagined. I thought the rocker profile and the softness of the ski would make it awake, but not. It's going really well!
I have been working for many years as a ski instructor, and these skis I would definitely like to have as working skiing. Just because they are so incredibly versatile. Cord, Cuts, Jump, Shortwave, Longwind, Switch ... Yes, it fixes everything!
The only thing I could not test is powder and Swedish blue. But it feels like the powder will not be a problem as the rocker will make the ski easy. As for ice, I think it will be more difficult. But if you travel a lot on harder ground, it's better to buy a clean piste ski.
In summary, a fantastic ski that gives its skier a fun and playful trip down the mountain. Thumbs up from my side!
