Strengths:
Modern construction with tip rods that provide good lifting and flowing in all types of laces. Works well in classical pumping shortcuts as well as in large sweeping turns. Big "sweetspot" that makes the ski forgiven without it feeling "mesig" for that matter. Excellent even in the piste as long as the surface is not hard and ice-cold, goes well both on the cutting and in the wire, "the tip" swallows the most in its way which makes the skid a precious weapon in the harvested offpiste. Can withstand speed and a heavy rider as long as the surface is not too hard. An excellent ski for adventure outside the piste where you can meet the most mixed conditions!

Weaknesses:
Less subdued than a more pistinated ski which makes Sidestash somewhat worried in sharp pits. Experienced as the front of the skate does not really depend on when it begins to go fast (in hard pist)! A smaller tendency to "wide-scale" but it is manageable.

Summary:
K2 Sidestash is an excellent all-round ski slope for those who prioritize flow in the offpiste in front of ice grip and accuracy in piste. Can drive both with a cord and a cutting edge, making it an excellent ski as the first fat offpiste skiing. Feels really stiff when you shuffle the skid, but the impression of snow is something completely different, where it is felt as lightweight (albeit somewhat sluggish in tougher piste) and forgiving. Probably largely thanks to the moderate tip rockern, which both lifts the skid in the razor and makes it easy for the piste.

The skid's relatively "large" cutting radius means that it must be run large on hard surfaces so as not to wrap. With sharp edges (I drive with 88 / 0.5) it's really good at the grand slope.

Compared to K2 Hardside, Sidestash is a much better off-piste skiing at all points, better flow and more manageable in demanding situations. In the slope, however, Hardside is superior and can be pressed in soft and rocky conditions. In summary, Hardside and Sidestash are perceived as completely different skis, and it is far more than the width that separates them.

The sidestash can be perceived as easily careless as compared to some special constructions, but it gives you the advantage that it is you who control the ski and not the other way around. A ski that's not the best at all but a sure choice for you who do not know what you're up for snow on the other side ...

I run Sidestash as Alpine Tour Skiing, focusing on the off-piste in mixed relationship (would love to just drive a sneeze but ...). Mounted with Dynafit FT12, it becomes a relatively easy package, recommended!

Strengths:
I think they are easy, legally twisted stiff, very well attached nurseries with the sides of the stumps

Weaknesses:
coated, thin, steel edges are susceptible to bumps

Summary:
bought the 2011 model, quite easily maneuvered like the places to the stumps, the hides became icy so the only thing that kept them left was the way behind. bought original k2 finishing shoes very good things, the skis tolerate litte when contact with others before goal, k2 factory ski's steel edges to belag it should be. The quality of the ski draws down the hell's rating

Model year: 2010
Riding style: all eaters

Strengths:
Good bearing capacity, relatively light, handles different types of snow well.

Weaknesses:
When I drive on the longest (188) I had a bit of kicks with my Kick turns. But this is probably just a training question.

Summary:
After 7 days in Engelberg they get a 4a in grade. Must say that they work very well both up and down, then it's best with dynafit. I did not have a single thief solution, it takes a bit of time to get drunk with the tie. But then, just go for tips on wildsnow.com.
