Manufacturers description
The Overlord is Prior’s go to BIG mountain toy. Fat, strong, and playful, the Overlord’s shape offers incredible stability at speed while providing un-matched nimbleness through critical sections & deep snow
For 2013 Prior has refined the tip and tail further and increased the sidecut of the overlord to give it more manoeuvrability at a wide variety of speeds and the result has testers stoked!
The Overlord is named after the impressive Overlord glacier which sits at the head end of Fitzsimmons valley separating Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains,
XTC Carbon Construction is available as an upgrade to all Overlord skis and saves an average of 600 grams (1lb 5oz) off our regular quad glass Ski construction.
Profile: Hybrid Rocker Profile provides floatation and predictability in powder of all kinds...and allows it to turn real EASY! 2-4 mm of traditional camber underfoot provides energy from turn-to-turn.
Ride: Fast and aggressive with a moderate sidecut this ski is stable and powerful through all snow conditions yet still turns with ease. At 110+ mm underfoot it has the most floatation of any ski in the Prior lineup.
Conditions: Big mountain: powder, trees, steeps, chutes, big airs.

Strengths:
Probably the greatest strength is how maneouverable the ski is for such a big ski. It is strong in the chop and has a neutral stance (bindings set to Prior's suggestion). Obviously great in powder but also fun on the piste when heading back to the lifts. I ski this ski every day and it does everything! The bigger lengths suit stronger/aggressive skiers
Weaknesses:
Some over-flexing when the snow is hard or crudy.
Summary:
Awesome ski. Have tried many of the same and this is a winner by miles.
Model year: 2010
Riding style: Powder
Length on the ski: 193 cm
Riders weight: 110 kg
Riders length: 188 cm

Strengths:
+ Stiff
+ 100% calm and stable at high speed.
+ rocker front and back
+ tension in the middle with winding
+ not whimsical, perfect starting point
+ custom flex can be ordered
Weaknesses:
- requires a lot of muscles and good technique
- some soft baking on hard driving (but can be ordered with stiffer)
Summary:
A rigid ski that tackles Scandinavia's mountains with class. Unlike many other American skim brands, it is strong and strong enough to deserve a large market share in Norway and Sweden. Although it is a relatively heavy big mountain skis, the excitement and winding give a quick ski in the woods. Rocker forward and back makes it calm and restrained in the mountains and good flow, leaving the skies to limit.
If you only have one ski and drive mostly in the big mountain, and like that boots and ties will be really rigid and want to try something different than Black Crow or Dynastar XXL this is your next ski.
Personally, I like to hitch the skis on my back to go with snowmobiles or paddle up and drive with rigid boots and gladly take LookP18 (et al) ties back down. Marker Duke will probably also be durable in most downhill runs.
The weight recommendations should be followed. If you are less than 80 pounds, you do not have the ability to drive the 193cm skis when you do not come outside the law of power by "force * arm". Even if the flex goes on after a season you will need all the power you have to get the skis to carve in the mountains on hard surfaces no matter how strong thighs and how high speed you have.

Strengths:
+ Stiff, allways calm
+ The edges are always there to save you, bites as a wolf
+ Loves high speed and are not influenced by other skiers tracks or wind shaped snow
+ Playful when you get familiar with them
+ A ski for good skiers, not beginners or lazy people.
+ Can carve if your strong enough
Weaknesses:
- Kind of heavy for long hiking
- Rear tip gets a little bit soft in some situations
- Demands alot technique and thighs (... kind of a plus if you ask me!)
Summary:
A perfect ski for the Scandinavian Mountains, where the snow is often hard and unpredictable. It will not let you down and backly the weak link on the playground - it just makes you want to and faster and steeper.
