These skis should not be confused with the RPM 100 found in the shops, it is a complete anan ski. This ski is made in a limited edition, but it makes all the skis more or less. The ski is manufactured according to the same recipe (with a few discrepancies) as the FIS-approved racing skis. On the tested skis there is a Ross original plate (with four different setting options) and a 185-race tie (DIN 8-18). Edges are made of a bit softer steel and a very fine coat = lots of pores that preserve the field, which gives better glide. The swing radius is specified to 22 m.
Now (when it's written) has spent more than 3 days on these skis and they feel the cannon, took a little while to drive on them but it went faster than I had expected. Have tried them in both wet nose and blue ice. It's like two totally different skis depending on the surface, nice slider to not so nice thoroughbred breeds! It's almost hard to believe the difference can be that big. On ice it is important to hang on and choose the right track, when the turn is determined and the skidding is done, it's only to try to keep in. The kick over to the next turn is quite easy to control but powerful which makes it possible to get back a little lost "height" to the next turn. Perhaps only useful in port skiing, but fun as a attendant to practice in steep slopes! The ice grip is massive, cruelly impressed. It was probably only me in the entire ski system that loved the slopes where the wind blown away all loose snow and left only the rocky artificial snow / ice! I can imagine that the feeling is the same on hard-packed nature nights, have not tried yet but it's coming.
In soft soft snow, the ski was nice and lightweight, but it seemed as if the radius of the ski was 10 meters bigger. On hard surfaces, the radius felt significantly less than the specified 22 meters. It was easy to carve in big quick turns the high was not the same almost completely gone. The stability was wrong, could be bad and badly not a vibration, expressive speech was the word and you could go raging fast without flutter. However, I could wish for a little more kick in the skid on soft surfaces, otherwise I'm very impressed with these skis.
