Strengths:
Stable in all shifts.
Good ice grip.
Width that is a good compromise
Feels solid built
Weaknesses:
Maybe not the nicest design, but they are at least discreet.
Summary:
Go 2-3 weeks a year, with a week in the Alps and then mainly in the piste. Honors most backs but does not want to call me an expert.
The picture shows the 2012 model year, the model I go with.
It's not a lady model.
Last but a few days in Sweden I have traveled with them in Cervinia / Valtournenche week 6 under different circumstances. Stony-hard and icy slopes are no problem. Grips well. However, requires an active ride style.
Works well in the piste with long carving wings. The rocker helps when it starts to get bored.
Worked well in the snow after a night's snowing.
Have not been with them in spring snow but feel like they would work well there too
Clearly satisfied with the purchase but grade 4 will suffice.
My older skis are a pair of Head Supershape Speed in the same length. The solomon feels like a good complement to these. The solomon is more lightweight despite its width.
Riding style: 90% pist 10% powder
Length on the ski: 184 cm
Riders weight: 100 kg
Riders length: 190 cm
Stable in all shifts.
