Strengths:
Magnificent stability at speed, great edge control and so easy to initiate a turn. High performance GS ski but very forgiving.

Weaknesses:
Not great in the bumps probably due to length (190cm)...I change into Atomic Betaride 10.20's for that.

Summary:
Bought these (190cm) as new / old stock in 2008...still in plastic, no bindings ($59 AUD on eBay). I am unashamedly a GS skier and have skied over the years on many skis ranging from conventional long skis, mid-fats, fats, twin-tips yarda yarda yarda. The Equipe 2s are by far the skis I enjoy skiing on the most, even though they are now 15yo technology. They are supremely fast and stable, hold a great edge even in sheet ice and have saved my bacon on a few occasions at hi-speed when my line wasn't quite right. They're not designed for bumps ar slalom, but will get you through them, excellent though in hi-speed carving GS turns and mid-radius turns. I am about to buy another pair (new/old stock) that have been advertised on eBay ($70) for when my current ones get tired...yes they're that good.

Riding style: Piste - groomers
Length on the ski: 190 cm
Riders weight: 98 kg
Riders length: 190 cm

Strengths:
I am a college GS specialist in the east. The coaching staff of my team has connections to get demos of everything. So why am I talking up a very old ski? Because Salomon happened to get it right with the Equipe 2S. Carving GS turns seems easy, and if you're freeskiiing, it is, because there's no time criterion or line to hold. But you can only win a GS if you lose no energy either in turns or 'intragate' 06-07 had me log a dozen separate GS skis, 07-08, about nine. Even ten years on, approximately, the Equipe 2S is the winner, the most edge-holding, most correct radius, the all-around fastest ski I have ever GSed. 07-08 had me placing at all my meets.

Weaknesses:
This is a no-compromise GS ski. You can't ski slalom or bumps with any seriousness. Think of it: this is no weakness.
